About the Designer

Jenny Schretter launched her eco-vintage jewelry line, KOLTON.J, in August 2010, inspired by her grandmothers’ exquisite taste, the contradiction of materials and textures, the rich history of vintage period pieces, and the synchrony of colors.

A graduate of Boston College, Schretter is a self taught designer who began making jewelry as a hobby in 2008 while working as an interdealer broker on Wall Street and living in SoHo.

Schretter is continually inspired by the actual raw materials themselves—stone, chain, rare vintage findings –and likes to create juxtaposition between the textures of the materials while blending them together within a coordinated color palate. “More often than not, the designs come up organically. My designs flirt on the edge of what is delicate and feminine, with what is unexpected, often edgy to create whimsical combinations,” says Schretter.

KOLTON.J jewelry is available online and in high-end boutiques across the country.  The line, which is comprised of both one-of-a-kind and limited edition pieces, are intricately handmade in the USA, with almost all one-of-a-kind pieces handcrafted by Schretter herself.  Named “Best Of” jewelry by Washingtonian Magazine, KOLTON.J has been featured in InStyle Magazine, Fox News, DailyCandy, OK!Magazine, Redbook, and People StyleWatch among others, in addition to being adorned by celebrities and stylists alike.

Dedicated to philanthropy and making a difference, KOLTON.J is jewelry with a heart. KOLTON.J proudly participates in numerous fundraisers for charity causes while donating 10% per online order to the charity of the customer’s choice, including ten featured highly vetted women and children-based charities. We are passionate about making you feel your best and about making an impact in our community.
